WHAT IS A T1 MULTIPLEXOR?
A T1 Multiplexor (MUX) serves as an interface bridge between customer analog and digital devices and the T1. Examples of customer devices include any combination of computers (more precisely the digital data they produce and expect to receive), telephone equipment, fascimile (fax) machines and networked video equipment. The MUX connects to one or more customer side devices, converting all data to DS1 frames and multiplexes the resulting signals onto the T1.
